Jacquette (1976)

This yet another rare title from the mid 70s. The cover of the video featured Vanessa del Rio (credited in the film as Cynthia Vee". She has just one scene, as a fortune teller. The real story in the feature is about Barbara Carson (who is credited as Jacquette). The was Barbara's first and only major star role in her short career. She only made 9 films. Jacquette is a play on words (Jockette, a female tomboyish type who is into sports). The plot is not all that interesting, but Barbara's "Plain Jane" looks make her appealing to other women in the industry who were either to become stars or flops. I found this to be a nice lil flick that kept it short (under and hour) and yet had plenty of sex and some goofy acting. Hate this or like it, it is a rare oddity and I was glad to find it. I have reformatted it for this site (thus the framed letterbox) so it doesn't lose any of the original quality of the rip (VHS or DVD?) Enjoy.
